meet the owner.
Corrie Shively has been making Washington, D.C. a more beautiful place, one room at a time, since 2010. With a background in commercial interior design, she specializes in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for corporate, multi-family and residential properties.
But Corrie's love affair with interior design began long before she ever set foot in a design studio. As a teenager, she found herself drawn to the creative challenge of renovating homes with her parents. Whether she was selecting paint colors, laying tile, or doing drywall, she quickly realized that her passion for design was more than just a summer job. All the hands-on experience gave her an appreciation for the craftsmanship and attention to detail required for a truly memorable space.
Corrie was fortunate to attend a university that celebrated on-the-job experience, and by the time she graduated in 2010, she’d had an opportunity to work at such distinguished firms as Gensler, HOK, bamo and Perkins & Will. Since then, she’s worked her way around similar award-winning firms in the DMV, bringing her passion for design and commitment to excellence to every project.
Now she’s taken that same eye for detail and commitment to service to open her own design studio, creating warm, welcoming spaces for her clients that encourage connection and an overall sense of well-being.
With a bachelor of science in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati, Corrie is both NCIDQ certified and LEED accredited, and is a licensed, Certified Interior Designer.
When not in the studio, you can find Corrie in the kitchen doing her best imitation of ‘the Great British Bake-off’, and spending time with her husband and kids.
